Our Director, Roberta Currier, has been named the 2012 International Prayer Coordinator for LWCFI's Bridging The Gap Outreach for the XXXth Olympiad in London, England.
PLEASE SPONSOR HER FOR THIS MISSION OUTREACH! We are trying to evangelize the athletes and people who will be attending this great event. SEE CONTACT US FOR SPONSORSHIP
We are an international and local mission and outreach agency. We serve abused and suffering children and families of the world in which we live. We believe that we can accomplish these goals by establishing missions in various global/local communities; utilizing our programs; and, by partnering with other established ministries who want to accomplish the same goals. (see Services)
Because the needs are diverse in the populations served, Mama's House serves as a community resource as well.

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We recently housed a young woman who had been abused for over a dozen years by the same person. She was controlled so much so that she was unable to think on her own. We met her in the street, she had been told to leave her apartment, and go away to another city for awhile, as the man had another woman that he wanted to bring in the home. She was terrified. She was on public transportation and was trying to ge to a city that was notorious for violent crime. It was nighttime. She appeared to be almost frantic, perhaps even borderline suicidal. We took her home, fed her, and gave her a bed. Almost immediately, the night terrors that she had been having stopped. While with us, she learned a few cooking skills; some reading skills (had even enrolled in school); and was generally happier. We spent a lot of time nurturing her, teaching her, etc. I wish that I could say it all worked out happily ever after...but this takes time. He called a few weeks later, wanting her back. She left. Wouldn't it be great if we had had a safe house that she or women and youth like her could stay until they got truly 'on their feet' and out of abusive situations?
WE TRY TO PROVIDE REAL HELP AND HOPE!
THE JOURNEY is a 'wish list' house that we would like to have as an emergency youth shelter for this local program; and SARAH'S PLACE is a mission home for travelling ministers/missionaries.
